No you don’t have to book. However, we highly recommend that you do to avoid disappointment. We have a limited amount of availability and the booking system is very easy and straightforward.
Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your session starting to allow you to check in and get changed.
Please send one member of the group to visit the reception to collect wristbands.
Please make sure everyone participating has signed the waiver either online or via the group organiser and watched the safety video prior going on the slide and understands the safety rules.
Please ask if you have any queries.
Please do your best to arrive in time for your session as no refunds can be given if you arrive late. You can continue to slide for the remainder of the session if you choose.
Please drive safely!
After 50 minutes staff will call ‘last slide’ of the session. This enables the smooth and prompt transmission into the next session.
If you need to cancel your booking, please email us at [email protected] with your cancellation request. If your email is received at least 7 days prior to your booked date, we will offer you a full refund or credit note.
If you need to reschedule, please email us at [email protected] and we will try to accommodate you.
No refunds will be given on the day if a member of group decides not to slide.
The Monster Slip And Slide site is located in a fairly sheltered location from the strong onshore coastal winds however this does not guarantee we can always remain open. Please check our updates on social media. We still operate in most wet conditions and rain. The weather in Cornwall can be very localised and unpredictable. Staff have the right to close or pause sliding without notice if the weather compromises safety at any point.
If The Monster Slip And Slide is forced to close due to unforeseen circumstances (like Covid or adverse weather conditions) we will refund in full or offer a credit note.
Please email [email protected] for all group enquiries.
Group sessions run between 10-11am and 5-6pm. Groups can book two lanes or four lanes.
To book two lanes: £220 for a group of 15 per hour. Additional sliders can be
added at £13.00 per person.
To book the entire slide (all four lanes) we offer a rate of £420 for a group of 30 people. Additional sliders can be added at £13.00 per person.
A 25% non refundable deposit is required for private groups. Waiver forms to be completed and sent in via email prior to arrival.
Public sessions are 10am – 5pm. (last session at 4pm) 7 days a week throughout the summer holidays. Private sessions are to be booked direct via our website and run from 5pm-6pm.
The minimum age is 18 months, children aged 4 years or younger must be accompanied by an adult. Children must always be accompanied by an adult unless they are able to climb over the inflatable safety barriers, are able to swim and be confident in water. Please supervise children at all times.
You are free to wear what you like and what you wear is very much weather dependant. However, we generally advise the use of a wetsuit and grip socks. We have a small selection of wetsuits for rent at £5 per suit or you are welcome to bring your own. Grips socks can be purchased for yours to keep for just £1.50.
PLEASE RETURN ALL HIRED WETSUITS BACK TO STAFF.
We ask that any clothing worn does not have any sharp edges, zips or rivets that could cause injury to any person or damage to the slide. Please note there is a chance of friction burns so please cover up any exposed skin where possible. Jewellery must be removed and covered up during your session. You can wear glasses but please do so at your own risk. Inflatable rings and body boards are available to use at no extra cost and are advised to use to avoid the chance of friction burns. Please use and return back to the stowing bay after use. If you prefer you can use your own inflatables but please check with the staff first before use. Inflatable rings can be used by two riders however body boards can only be used singly. If you reach the splash pool at the very bottom, please roll off the equipment as you enter the pool area to reduce speed as per safety video.
You are welcome to use cameras on the slide but we can take no responsibility for loss or damage. Please respect others privacy.
You are welcome to bring family and friends to watch as there’s plenty of room to relax and watch everyone slide on by.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead and away from the slide at all times.
We ask that participants get changed next to their vehicles. However if this is not convenient we do have a small tent for getting changed. We ask you to leave your clothing and belongings in your vehicle. If you have travelled by bike then please leave your clothes and belongings in our tent. Portaloos are available on site.
Due to the nature of the activity and its location (in a field) the water can appear murky and dirty. However, the water is filtered and treated regularly to keep it safe for users. Please shower when you get home.
When booking online (through Eola) all participants will be asked to fill in a waiver. An adult must fill in waivers on behalf of children. Anyone booked in under one booking (friends or family) must sign their own waivers through the Eola booking system.
Everyone who is booked in on site must also sign the waiver and watch The Monster Slip And Slide safety video. Wristbands will not be issued to your group unless a disclaimer is signed for each participant. We ask that all children are supervised at all times, and that every participant is aware and abides by all the safety rules in place.
We record any accidents that may occur so please make sure you report any injury to our staff. We have qualified and trained first aiders during operating hours.
Staff have the right at any point to refuse admission or ask anyone who is not abiding by the rules or being a danger or being rude to leave the site at once.
